Gangwon State as the hub of Asian agriculture

The Gangwon State Agricultural Research and Extension Services(GWARES) is increasing the brand value of Gangwon agriculture through international cooperation based on the accumulated technologies. The GWARES plays leading roles for the development of Asia agriculture. In Mongolia, since 2004, the GWARES has initiated the vegetable farming techniques by establishing the Gangwon agricultural Town.In addition, we are conducting breeding and seed production of waxy corn at Field Crops Research Institute in Thailand.Moreover, every year we invite about 20 farming experts or officials in developing countries including China, Ethiopia, Chile, and Mongolia to train for new techniques of Gangwon agriculture.The Gangwon agriculture stands as the hub of Asia agriculture through international cooperation.
